Top Ten Books That Broke My Heart a Little

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly featured hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/Top Ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I'm already so obsessed with lists so I'm excited to participate!
1. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins - I was totally on edge the entire time I was reading this book. My fear for Peeta consumed most of my thoughts. When I wasn't thinking about Peeta, I was wondering, "Why do so many people have to die?!"

2. The Help by Kathryn Stockett - This was one of the best books I've ever read. I wanted to smack a couple of characters, but a few truly broke my heart. Gah. So amazing.

3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - Death narrates this book. Do I really need to say anything else?

4. Where She Went by Gayle Forman - I thought If I Stay was sad, but this one took it to a whole new level. So much heartbreaking angst..

5. Delirium by Lauren Oliver - OMG. The ending of this book. I keep hoping that book two will  make everything better. A girl can dream, right?

6. The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly - I can't remember some of this book (I'm fixing to re-read it!), but I do remember feeling so distraught in several parts. This read kind of like a soap opera, but, the way I see it, we all have our guilty pleasures.

7. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - Just read the description for this book and you know it's going to be heartbreaking. Sigh.

8. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling - I completely REFUSE to believe that Fred died. No way. No. Didn't happen.

9. The Opposite of Love by Julie Buxbaum - Emily's best friend tells her, "It's like you get pleasure out of breaking your own heart." Not going to lie, she was breaking my heart a little bit too.

10. Romancing Miss Bronte by Juliet Gael - This book blends fact and fiction in its representation of the famous Bronte family. And even though I kind of knew what was coming, I wasn't really prepared for all the heartbreak.
