Wednesday Wish: Ombre Chevron Bookmarks

Source: Piper's Place
Let me begin by telling you that credit for this Wednesday find goes to Magan from Rather Be Reading (side note: LOVE both of those ladies!). She posted on Twitter about these little lovelies, and I immediately fell in love. That was also the first conversation I had with her - we discussed using receipts as bookmarks and my desire to have cool ombre hair like her. Basically, I liked her right away.

So, anyway, aren't these bookmarks just beyond fabulous? They're available from Piper's Place on etsy and are just $5 for the downloadable and printable file! In case you don't realize how great this is, let me explain. Downloadable & printable = unlimited supply of super awesome chevron bookmarks. That's great for someone like me because I misplace cute bookmarks all the time and end up just using receipts. Receipts may do the job, but they certainly aren't cute.

But these are cute. They're chevron, which basically means they're adorable. And they're ombre, which means they're totally in style. And you get to write your name on them. I kind of love anything that allows me to write my name on it and claim it as my own.

What do you typically use as a bookmark? Have any favorites?

  3. Love these! And love Etsy! Will totally have to buy them. (I have Chevron curtains in my living room! So I also love that! Haha.)

    1. Etsy is so addicting. I get on there to look up one thing and end up spending hours looking at all these things I either 1) never thought to want before or 2) never thought of trying to make before. And then I remember I'm not crafty and realize it's probably better to just pay someone to make the pretty things :) YES to Chevron curtains - I'M JEALOUS!!

  4. I love these! Aww, chevron and ombre is an awesome combination - who knew? I honestly think the makeshift bookmark I use the most would have to be ticket stubs from my sister's ballet performances. And I doubt I ever use the same one twice! I always have them floating around in my handbags, they're the quickest to grab. Not always the prettiest, but I guess the sentimental value is something? My prettiest is a metal one with ribbons on the edge and an Eleanor Roosevelt quote engraved on it ("The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.") but because I'm such a sillypants who gets too excited with a book in my hands it almost always manages to slip out. So I display it on my bookshelves instead. Effective, right? ;)

    1. Oh my goodness, I love that you use ticket stubs from your sister's performances. That's so sweet! And I love that they are practical but also sentimental :) That's the best kind of bookmark! I'm so with you on metal bookmarks. I've been given one or two, but I don't tend to use them because they slip out! I obviously get too excited with a book in my hands, too. I've done the same thing as you - I just stick them in a pretty book that's displayed on my bookshelf and call it a day. I love that you do it too!

  6. Hi! I'm Jamie, the owner of Piper's Place. You have no idea how much you just made my day when I realized my bookmarks got featured on your blog! Thank you for loving them enough to feature them! You have such a lovely blog, I just started my own for my business, and I hope one day it can look as great as yours :)
