So Quotable: Tahereh Mafi

Source
"I spent my life between the pages of books. In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction."

    1. Her writing really was lovely! I had avoided the book because the strikethrough thing was kind of off-putting, but I snatched it up at the library and ended up falling in love. Now I just need Unravel Me to come out!

"This was one of my favorite quotes as well, though I could easily quote the entire book! Tahereh Mafi's writing is absolutely gorgeous <3"

and then looked at the comment before and it said the exact same thing! Oh well, it's true! Such a great quote!

  6. Taherah Mafi has one of the most beautiful, poetic, and lyrical ways of expressing herself I've ever read. Even her acknowledgements in her books made me emotional. Great quote!
