I'd Be His Fictional Mrs.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/Top Ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I'm so obsessed with lists!

Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On
If I Was Also A Fictional Character

1. Fitzwilliam Darcy from Pride and Prejudice - Don't act like you are even a little bit surprised that this man is on my list. You better believe I'll stick Darcy on any list where he fits. Handsome, rich and ultimately amazing... Yeah, I'd move to Pemberley with him.

2. Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables Series - He should actually be in the first heart because 1) I've loved him the longest and 2) I love him THE MOST. Oh, Gil. What don't you have going for you? Looks, intelligence, sass, loyalty, patience... need I go on?

3. Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games Trilogy - I'm the girl who wrote a post called He's Peetalicious, so you had to know I was going to include this fella on my list. Seriously, Katniss does not appreciate him. I'd fight her (in the Arena and everything) to make him mine.

4. Frederick Wentworth from Persuasion - He's hardworking, quiet and writes a damn good letter. I'm pretty sure we'd get along quite nicely in our life together. I'd also give him lots of bonus points if he happened to discover some sort of treasure while out at sea.

5. Sean Kendrick from The Scorpio Races - He's strong, mostly silent, rides horses and wins money. In my book, that's a winning combination. I also adore his fierce love for Thisby - I'd totally move there to be with him. And we'd live in our little cottage by the sea...

6. Cricket Bell from Lola and the Boy Next Door - I know everyone and their sister falls for Etienne St. Clair, but not this lady. I only have eyes for that tall, slightly geeky boy next door! He has a weird name and makes crazy inventions, but I'd totally be all over this one.

7. Jonah Griggs from Jellicoe Road - At first, I wasn't sure about Jonah. He's a little rough around the edges, and it's hard to get to know the real him. But once you do, holy cow... this is one boy that will have you swooning. Also, he knows how to use his words to win your heart!

8. Adam Wilde from If I Stay and Where She Went - Adam isn't my normal kind of guy, but he totally won me over. I could totally be the girl with the band if Adam was the boy I was following around. Also, he is subject to my "I imagine him as Adam Levine" rule that also replied to Adam Kent (who would have made this list if he wasn't such a pill in Unravel Me), so that gives him bonus points.

9. Dimitri Belikov from Vampire Academy Series - Here's the thing, Dimitri only makes this list IF he agrees to cut his hair. He's pretty swoonworthy in all other areas, but I'm just not digging the lady locks (or least how I imagine them). Otherwise, he's a winner: strong, fierce, quiet, passionate...

10. Roar from Under the Never Sky and Through the Ever Night - I almost included Perry on this list, too, but I had to go with just Roar. He totally won my heart in these books, and he isn't even the main love interest. Yep, I fell for a side character! Does he have a last name? I don't even know. Either way, he's got a great sense of humor. Bonus: he'll search for you and fight for you. Done and done.

  1. I would definitely chose Roar over Perry as well. Perry's great for Aria, but I'd rather have Roar! I also had Darcy & Peeta on my list-two of my favorite fictional boys. I'm pretty sure Peeta is probably my over all-time fictional crush.

    1. I'm going to ignore the Peeta comment. But at least be glad that means I don't have to share him with you ;)

      AND YAYYYYY TO ROAR!

HAHAHAHA to Dimitri's haircape. Hell no to that. Not touching his long hair. No. No. No.

  6. I *almost* put Darcy and Gilbert on my list---- but just couldn't. I always feel like the classics are beyond these lists. haha Right?! <3<3<3 Leave Dimitri's pony tail alone. hahaha And... just leave Peeta alone period. Go for Gale. Okay, I'll stop. I do see some boys on this list that I have yet to meet. You've been hiding them from me!!

    1. Hahah classics are NEVER beyond these lists! I gotta include them to mix it up :)

And seriously, you can keep Dimitri's ponytail for yourself. I think I love Adrian more now anyway.

AND DON'T SAY ANOTHER WORD ABOUT PEETAAAAAAA!

  7. Absolutely agree with Roar. I mean, he's just the best. What flaws does this guy have?!

  8. I've only read UtNS/TtEN! So sad! I really liked Roar, but he was more of a friend for me. My love is with Perry. I still haven't read Lola yet which is a total fail on my part, but I wasn't totally in love with Etienne, so maybe Cricket will be the man for me!

    1. I didn't totally love Etienne either, so I hope you'll love Cricket more! He was much more my style :)

  11. Your posts are so creative! I love all of these guys. Serious swoon happening. I almost put Sean and Adam Wilde on my post as well. Actually, now that I'm seeing everyone else's list, mine could have been about 50 guys long. And definitely Cricket over Etienne!

    1. Haha mine could have been a lot longer, too! I kept narrowing it down and spending way too much time debating the pros and cons of which guys made my top ten list! Glad you're also a Cricket fan :)

  12. Darcy? Really? I had no freaking idea.

    WHO ARE YOU?

:) I didn't comment on many of these lists (actually you are the only one) BUT I love that you included Cricket. He's the best. (I may also like Dan from Someday, Someday, Maybe.)

    1. Haha! I know - shocker, right?!

Yay for the Cricket love! I love Dan, too, but I want MORE of him before he makes the list. Hopefully in book two!

  13. You're sooo cute. I love the hearts. Nice touch.

First one 2 that come to my mind:
Mr. Knightley from Emma and Jacob Black.

  14. Um, I approve of ALL OF THIS. Except for maybe the two I haven't read. I love that you went for Roar over Perry (though I think most of us would). Gilbert Blyth and Darcy def. on my all time, cannot be removed list. :P

    1. Haha YES to all time, cannot be removed list! No one will unseat those two gents from their top spots!

  15. Haha. Fun way to answer this question. Darcy and Cricket were on my TTT, too. I do like St. Clair, but Cricket (even with the MOST RIDICULOUS NAME EVER) stole me heart.

    1. Yes, it is the most ridiculous name but he was so awesome! He totally made up for the name!

  16. I would go anywhere with Fitzwilliam Darcy. PERIOD. There is no doubt in my mind that he could completely sweep me off my feet if he existed in real life! He'd only be beaten out by Gilbert, who was my first fictional crush (before I knew exactly what that meant) and will always have a special place in my heart.

  17. Oh my gosh Adam Wilde, yes. Seriously, that audiobook is the business because the voice behind that character made me fall even harder for that boy. I sat in my car in the library parking lot and did my best not to cry (nearly successfully) at the chapters near the end because it was SO GOOD. Also, I love rockstars.

    Kinda love Sean Kendrick too.

    1. Oh, I haven't listened to the audio! I'll definitely have to check it out now :)

  18. Ha, I think I said the exact thing about Dimitri's hair. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE GUY, but the hair needs to go. Also, Roar is just one of my favorites! I haven't even read TTEN, but I just love him.

    1. Haha! THANK YOU for agreeing on the hair! I wonder how I'll feel about it in the movie. I'm not sure I'll be a fan :/

      READ TTEN RIGHT NOW!
