May 2014: On My Shelves + Recap

via Vineyard Vines
The big event in May? BEA! I can't believe that it arrived and that it's already over. I had so much fun, and I'm already missing the amazing bloggers that I got to spend time with while I was there. I'm working on two BEA-related posts right now - a recap and a look at all the books I grabbed while I was there. Those should (hopefully) be up this week!

So, you'll have to tide yourself over with this look at what happened on my blog and what books I bought or got for review in May. I read a few books that I really loved this past month, and I was proud of myself for reading stuff that I'd bought recently. Yay for not letting them sit on my TBR for ages! I'm now ready to welcome the warm summer weather with open arms... bring on reading at the pool on the weekend!

  1. A Triple Knot looks really good.

I love the variety of books you read. Clearly I do not comment enough, but seriously, that variety is awesome and I do love reading blogs where people read a bit of everything.

Also! Those Emily Of New Moon redesigns, I want them! They are so pretty!

  2. Looks like you had an awesome reading month in May -- 11 books in a month that included Outlander is very impressive! So curious to see what you snagged at BEA so I can see what I should be putting on my radar :)

  3. You have quite the varied little haul this month - love that! I'm really looking forward to your review on Grave Mercy. That one's been on my TBR for some time now. All the Light We Cannot See looks stunning and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I am soooo jealous of your Sourcebooks' editions of the Emily series. I think I may need to put them on my wishlist for my birthday this month!

P.S. Super excited for your BEA posts. I would have really liked to go buuuut it was just not in the cards. So I've enjoyed living vicariously through the bloggers I follow!

  4. I seriously need to start buying all those new edition covers for LM Montgomery's books. SO PRETTY! But also, I spy with my little eye Dark Triumph. I can't remember whether you've read it or not. If you have, YAY because I adore Beast and Sybella so, so much. And if you haven't, YOU MUST, also because I adore Beast and Sybella.

Either way, happy June! I can't believe May is over. I also can't believe we met in person JUST LAST WEEK. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess! I wish we had been able to hang out and really chat more. I may just have to road trip it down to your part of the country so we can just relax and talk books and other things :)
