Stick These Books In My Stocking

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/top ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I'm so obsessed with lists - so it makes perfect sense that I'd love this feature!

Top Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Bringing Me

Because I Keep Hearing So Much About...

1-3. The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson | Box Set
In the last few years, I've fallen for fantasy. Most of my reading choices have been Young Adult, which has been an amazing introduction to this genre. But after discovering the Sevenwaters series, I find myself dying to try more adult fantasy. I've heard SO MUCH about this trilogy, so I think it's time to try it!

And Because I Can Never Have Too Many Copies...

4-11. Anne of Green Gables Series by L.M. Montgomery | Tundra Hardcovers
If I get this set, it will be the THIRD one I've gotten this year alone. For years, you could only buy the mass market paperbacks. There were a number of gorgeous editions of Anne of Green Gables, but never the complete series. I don't know what changed this year, but I've been unable to resist bringing them all home with me.

  1. I have that same Anne of Green Gables set on my wishlist too! They're so beautiful and I still don't own a complete set.

  3. I haven't heard of the Mistborn Trilogy yet, but it sounds like I should check it out! I only recently got into reading Fantasy and I'm curious to see the difference between adult and YA. Also, that Anne of Green Gables set is lovely!

  6. Love your list! Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite obsessions so you can pretty much guarantee I'll be adding these to my wishlist immediately! I absolutely loved the first Mistborn book, now I just need to find time to read the other two!

  8. I've never actually read anything by Brandon Sanderson, but I know my husband is a huge fan of his adult fiction. I don't know much about the Mistborn Trilogy, but from what I do know it's supposed to be amazing.

  10. I know who to blame for Mistborn being on your list. ;) I've been trying to read it for the longest time, but oh man, you need a lot of focus (which sometimes I do not have).

  12. I'm a little nervous about reading Brandon Sanderson, only because I haven't read much high fantasy. I did put his book The Rithmatist on my top ten list, because I'm so intrigued, and it'll be a great way to ease into his writing. Anne and the Green Gables! Oh how I enjoyed those books as a child. Great list :)

  13. I love both of these choices, Hannah! (I still need to read Anne of Green Gables, though! Eeek!). I also love the editions of Mistborn you chose; I have that one on my nook but I really think I would kind of like it in print format. (...still yet to read though, of course. *sigh*)

Here's some of the fun stuff I asked Santa for, if you're interested. ;)

  14. Brandon Sanderson is amazing! Mistborn is good, but I actually think my favorite is still Elantris. That is the book that introduced me to Sanderson and it's so stinking good!
