I Hope These Debuts Dazzle Me

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week they post a new topic/top ten list and invite everyone to share their own answers. I'm so obsessed with lists - so it makes perfect sense that I'd love this feature!

Top Ten Most Anticipated 2015 Debut Novels

For each book, I've picked three reasons why I want to read it. Since these are debut authors, I'm going off whatever jumped out at me from the book's summary! So, let's begin:

1. Love by the Book by Melissa Pimentel - London. Dating experiments. "Witty & gritty."
2. Lost & Found by Brooke Davis - Aussie author. Quirky. Character-driven.

3. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard - Fantasy. Royal families. Fight for power.
4. Monstrous by MarcyKate Connolly - Evil wizard. A magical curse. Feels like a fairy tale.
5. Dead to Me by Mary McCoy - Golden Age Hollywood. Noir mystery. Glamour & decadence.
6. Pretending to Be Erica by Michelle Painchaud - Heist. Secret identities. Kidnapped heiress.
7. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir - Rome-like world. Epic fantasy. Scholars & soldiers.
8. The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne - Politics. Family. First love.
9. My Best Everything by Sarah Tomp - College tuition trouble. Making moonshine. Appalachia.
10. The Storyspinner by Becky Wallace - Missing princess. Unexpected romance. "Drama & danger."

  1. Red Queen, The Storyspinner and An Ember in the Ashes all made my list too! I also can't wait for Monstrous! It looks like it's going to be an awesome middle grade, creepy book!

  2. I just knew I would find a new discovery on your blog Hannah! I just added The Wrong Side of Right to my Goodreads, that sounds great! Prentending To Be Erica I'm really excited for as well, and I haven't seen it on a lot of lists thus far! And Red Queen of course...

  3. I've heard of quite a few of these (and am definitely anticipating them as well), but I hadn't heard of a couple of titles (Love by the Book, The Wrong Side of Right). The ones I'm unfamiliar with stand out to me, so I'm going to go and check them out. But I'm just as excited as you are for An Ember in the Ashes and The Storyspinner!
