This seems like such a great selection, and I'm particularly by the WW novels you've mentioned here. Definitely going to check them out soon!Alexa S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13185723439360170259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-266399543359300762014-08-12T12:25:42.052-04:002014-08-12T12:25:42.052-04:00I had to keep track here. I did start reading Anne Frank in 4th grade or so, but never finished and never picked it up. And while a few of these are new to me (Like The Lost Girls), there are others I've been wanting to get to for a while now (The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks).Shoshanahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707241263291051104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-53655474488534534882014-08-06T12:15:25.542-04:002014-08-06T12:15:25.542-04:00Great list! Have you read the companion (ish) novel to that one, Half Broke Horses? Also very good. it's actually loosely based on the mother from The Glass Castle's young life, and her mother. Both beautiful stories. The first two are definitely going on my TBR. I love non fiction (and fiction) about WWII, there is something especially heartbreaking about those stories but they are remarkable to read. I'm bookmarking this list because I don't have a lot of time to add this evening but I need to add nearly ALL of these tomorrow!!! Thanks for the recs Hannah, yours never fail my expectations :)Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06812554090848662429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-6421673473666802852014-08-05T17:10:21.432-04:002014-08-05T17:10:21.432-04:00Love this! Unbroken was one that I read last year and I really loved it, too! And I'm actually going to be reading Anne Frank this month!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-60945281197826002192014-08-05T16:06:53.480-04:002014-08-05T16:06:53.480-04:00That question was more of a statement in my head. ...That question was more of a statement in my head. I think it's such an underappreciated genre especially when you can find such hilarious material as Mindy Kaling's. :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01835883105232581567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-55952215047480895432014-08-05T15:04:50.309-04:002014-08-05T15:04:50.309-04:00Awesome list! I have been trying to read more nonfiction lately, so I've been collecting as many suggestions as I can :)

The Nazi's Officer's Wife sounds interesting; what a different perspective on WWII! I want to read The Diary of Anne Frank as well. I read the play last year in English class, so I think it's about time I get to the real thing. I love the cover of The Girls of Murder City. I will be on the lookout for it at my local library. Finally, Mindy Kaling is hilarious, so I have little doubt that her memoir is the same!

Bella @ Ciao BellaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-65088045910098223122014-08-05T12:45:14.426-04:002014-08-05T12:45:14.426-04:00We had a few in common... :) I really want to read...We had a few in common... :) I really want to read The Nazi Officer's Wife.
