September 2013: On My Shelves Vlog + Recap

Sarah Hearts
Y'all, today is a day where I do something totally new for me: I FILMED A VLOG! Yep, that's right, I decided to get all fancy with this post and filmed a video highlighting all the books I added to my shelves in September. And it's a long one - there were (eek!) 30 books that I brought into my home this month PLUS I may have rambled a bit. I would have edited the video, but that requires skills I don't currently possess. Regardless, watch the video below to see what I bought and borrowed in September!

I read 15 books this month, so I was clearly on a reading roll compared to August. I've listed those here along with what was posted on So Obsessed With this month in case you missed anything! Otherwise, hope y'all had a fabulous September and can't wait to see what you think of my stack of books!

  1. I want you to read them all at the same time.

You are seriously adorable, and I'm really glad you did a vlog! Now you have inspired me to do one this weekend maybe. I don't have many books to talk about though... hmmm. haha

So excited to hear what you thought of these books, and I'm really touched and happy that you trust my reviews enough to spend your money on books! YAY for that. Thank you (as always) for your support and being so so so awesome. xo

    1. Haha! That would be super talented if I could.

I'm so glad you enjoyed - even though I was way too rambly! And yay to inspiring you to do a vlog this weekend :) I love y'alls vlogs!

And I love discovering new books to buy based on your recommendation. Plus, I can't wait to read them so we can discuss!

  2. YAY vlog! I didn't really like Pushing the Limits either but I haven't read Dare You To yet but now Im excited because of you! I'm currently listening to The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson and loving it. Shadow and Bone is a pretty fun read. If you want some NA recs that I think you might like: Where I End and You Begin (I don't remember exactly but I think it was PG or PG-13. But the romance is not the main focus), First Comes Love and the sequel, Second Chance (these are super quick reads) and Lovestruck Summer.

    1. YES! Read Dare You To because I thought it was SO much better. And, honestly, Crash Into You was probably the best of the book. Oh The Sky is Everywhere is so, so lovely. Now I'm even more excited for Shadow and Bone!

THANK YOU for some NA recs! I've been interested in reading some, but I feel like so many are just sexed up YA which doesn't really appeal to me. I can't wait to check these out!

  3. i also really want to read Pushing the Limits, though I haven't read anything else by this author. Lori Foster, who I love, actually gave it 5 stars and now I'm super excited for it & I hope I'm approved on NG. I loved Past Perfect as I am a history nerd & This Song Will Save Your Life is one of my favorites this summer. I also have If You Find Me, which I am kind of scared to read, but I need to because I borrowed it & need to return it. :) loved the vlog, that is a LOT of books. happy reading. ~daphne

    1. I'm really excited to hear you loved both of the Leila Sales books :) I'm a total history nerd, too, so I'm really looking forward to Past Perfect. If You Find Me kinda scares me a little bit - partly because I've heard such great things about it and want to love it, too! And yes, I somehow got a LOT of books in September :)

I think I'm going to read If You Find Me soon - mostly because you, Cassie and Judith love it so much. And I'm glad I'm not the only person that Cassie bosses around.
