BEA 2014: All the Books

It's now time for final part of my epic BEA recap - THE ONE WITH ALL THE BOOKS! If you missed it, check out BEA 2014: All the Adventures, Pt. I and BEA 2014: All the Adventures, Pt. II.

I love finding out what people picked up at BEA because it always puts new books on my radar, and I'm really hoping this will do the same for you. If you regularly read my blog, you probably know that my taste in books is all over the place. I love books for all ages and across so many genres. You'll see that reflected in what I grabbed at BEA - a pretty good mix of adult and young adult titles.

For the photos below, I divided the books into adult and young adult titles, sorted by publisher within those two categories and then took photos where you can see the covers (instead of the spines) because I always like the covers better! I've included links to Goodreads for all titles in case any catch your eye.

  2. I am sad I didn't pick up The Magician's Lie, that has one awesome cover.

Also! The Harper book about the Civil War and women, but I have it as download now on EW, so I am thinking maybe I should swipe that.

The Queen Of The Tearling is awesome -- I read it before BEA and LOVED it.

This whole haul makes me excited, not gonna lie.

  4. WOW you got so many awesome books!! So jealous about Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy. I really want to read that one after having read I Shall Be Near to You, which I know you also loved. But seriously so many good books in those piles. Can't wait to read your reviews for some of these :D

  6. Can I just tell you how much I respect that you read what you want, when you want? I love that you picked up a Ruth re-telling. I trust you've read The Red Tent (my favorite retelling) and I've been looking for something to rival that! If IN THE FIELD OF GRACE comes close, please let me know!

    PS more vlogs please.

  7. I love it when you do vlogs, Hannah! It's always so fun to hear you talk about things :) Also, I'm a bit obsessed with your adult book BEA haul! I really want to check out some of these, and will eagerly be awaiting your thoughts on most of them :)

  8. First, I just want to say I LOVE when you make vlogs! It is so fun to listen to you talk and it's always interesting as you speak quite differently than you write. (I don't mean that in a bad way - it's just neat to see another side of you!)

I'm so excited for The Miniaturist, The Story of Land and Sea, The Queen of the Tearling, Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy, Jackaby, The Accidental Highwayman, and Mrs. Hemingway... I could go on and on. You have great taste! ;-) Thank you for sharing your haul! I certainly have lots to look forward to in my bookish future.

And, OF COURSE, I absolutely cannot wait to read Heir of Fire. I just checked out The Assassin's Blade in an attempt to tide me over for a little while! I'm also really interested in Mortal Heart - while I haven't read the first two books in the series, I also just checked those out from the library and am really excited about the series.

  10. 1. You're adorable! 2. So many awesome books! I watched your video while scrambling to look the books up in Goodreads. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on these as you read them. I had to add a few to my list as well :) It sounds like you had a blast at BEA. Maybe I'll get to meet you in person one day... hopefully at BEA next year?! *fingers crossed*
