I know I loved Homecoming and A Wrinkle in Time, but don't really remember much about them. I also loved, and remember pretty well, Number the Stars and Bridge to Terabithia.

But my absolute favorite on this list was Island of the Blue Dolphins. It was always my favorite part of visiting the Santa Barbara Mission being able to see her grave. Did you ever read its sequel, Zia? It wasn't nearly as good, but I definitely appreciated seeing how her story continued.Shoshanahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707241263291051104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-31414006601120176702014-08-30T19:59:10.649-04:002014-08-30T19:59:10.649-04:00Can we do a read-along of A Wrinkle in Time? Also, I adored Island of the Blue Dolphins (and it sparked a total dolphin obsession) and cried over Where the Red Fern Grows and Bridge to Terabithia!Alexa S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13185723439360170259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-51405959660074468142014-08-26T16:52:32.647-04:002014-08-26T16:52:32.647-04:00Oh goodness, I do not think I could ever read WHER...Oh goodness, I do not think I could ever read WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS. And what...I really like how you modified the topic! And what a nostalgic trip reading your list was.
I really enjoyed Number the Stars, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Tuck Everlasting, Where the Red Fern Grows (though so sad), Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, Misty of Chincoteague, and A Wrinkle in Time as well. I think I do own the vast majority of books I loved when I was growing up, though that's thanks to my mom. I think she is keeping them for her future grandchildren haha.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052456915027241479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-12824598274526963522014-08-26T10:50:31.574-04:002014-08-26T10:50:31.574-04:00Ohh, great adaptation of the topic! I didn't used to keep books at all growing up, except for Harry Potter (then I started keeping some of the ones I really loved) but our bookcase was very small (QUITE the opposite of now). I love your picks! There are so many books from my childhood I'd like to re-read too. I actually just bought The Giver and Walk Two Moons within the past couple years and they now have a home on my shelf :D Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00133612131488048932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-43244069012820870262014-08-26T08:23:25.001-04:002014-08-26T08:23:25.001-04:00Somehow I made it out of school without having to ...Somehow I made it out of school without having to read Where the Red Fern Grows - and I'll be honest: I'm really hesitant to even try it. It's one of my mom's favorites and all I ever remember hearing about it is just how sad it is. ..I can't. I don't do sad. ESPECIALLY when animals are involved. Nope.

OTHER THAN THAT, this list made me smile and brought back so many memories. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-1788574413306803722014-08-26T07:56:11.156-04:002014-08-26T07:56:11.156-04:00Ahh, Where The Red Fern Grows...
