As much as I love historical fiction I was looking forward to something a little different. And the pacing definitely dragged for me in the middle, but I liked most of the characters and I was very hooked by the last 100 pages. I'm excited to read the sequel and see where the story goes. Ironically, I enjoyed Vengeance Road more :)Morgan @ The Bookish Beaglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05455877395068242798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-85981337283907730722015-11-10T12:24:43.781-05:002015-11-10T12:24:43.781-05:00I loved this book. It's funny you mentioned some of the characters seeming underdeveloped because I actually was impressed by how vivid they all seemed. I totally agree about the setting--so vibrant and awesome. I didn't know what to expect from this book but in retrospect I'm glad the book focused so much on the journey because it gave readers a lot of time to get to know the landscape and the core characters.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-64089358889857203832015-11-09T17:07:55.136-05:002015-11-09T17:07:55.136-05:00I really, really loved WALK ON EARTH A STRANGER! I honestly had a hard time setting it down once I'd started it, and I definitely can't wait to read more of Lee's story!Alexa S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13185723439360170259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-14813182628507836822015-11-09T13:15:58.250-05:002015-11-09T13:15:58.250-05:00I finished this one recently too and LOVED it! Whe...I finished this one recently too and LOVED it! When I was younger I was obsessed with pioneers and Oregon Trail, so this story felt very familiar. I loved the Gold Rush aspect too! Can't wait for the rest of this series to come out! :) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
