But I just hate how all the characters are always broken.Shoshanahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707241263291051104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-34673270881271257262015-12-22T16:44:00.063-05:002015-12-22T16:44:00.063-05:00Don't even feel bad because I haven't done...Don't even feel bad because I haven't done ANY of the amazing tags you tagged me in still. *hides* haha. This is a fun one!! I think I read the first two books in the Luxe series and I enjoyed them! Total 1800s Gossip Girl in the best way. Oh noooo I have Unearthly at home and haven't read it yet! But I'll manage my triangle expectations this way I guess. Bummer! I've been working on searching out New Adult that is most like a sexy romantic comedy for me; minimal drama haha. So far I've found a couple! And I'm not much of a science fiction person either. I have a couple series that I love but that's about it. I prefer sci fi movies. Hahahaha I LOVE Wuthering Heights but I don't think anyone loves the characters. They're generally awful. *whispers* City of Bones was not that good. I read the first book, excited to find a new series to love, and it was so cookie cutter and meh. I wasn't interested in continuing. Interesting!! I still want to read North and South someday but I'm happy sticking with the movie too <3 I felt that way about Lord of the Rings actually, I much prefer the movies. I just can't seem to get invested in the characters. Oh & The Mortal Instruments series... I read the first two, and I have no desire to continue. Sad face. The first one was... intriguing, but the second one just left me bored. So, I understand your lack of desire to read them. ;)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17823656718424402205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-3872152593786123132015-12-18T08:01:37.969-05:002015-12-18T08:01:37.969-05:00I think when you read the book after the movie, yo...I think when you read the book after the movie, you're more likely to either like the movie more or at least be less protective of the "sacred text" of the book. My husband and I had very different reactions to the Harry Potter movies when he chose to watch them before reading the books and I chose the opposite. I also found this to be true when I watched Pride and Prejudice (2005) and then read the book after!Amy Shawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05349407376642741618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-40730662524749838912015-12-17T22:58:07.446-05:002015-12-17T22:58:07.446-05:00Funnily enough, I'm going to actually reread t...Funnily enough, I'm going to actually reread the first three Mortal Instruments novels so that I can finish the series! I'm mostly trusting Macky on that, as he says he likes the last book (the very last one) a whole lot. But we'll see if I wind up sticking with it! ;) Alexa S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13185723439360170259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7453643548383938123.post-32729325227953032362015-12-17T16:03:27.657-05:002015-12-17T16:03:27.657-05:00I agree with most of these. But then Clockwork Prince made me so mad I gave up on the series. Since then I've realized it is totally possible to outgrow an author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
